When you get it in, would love to hear a range report! Would also like to see some detailed photos of how the conversion was done. You know they made a few originally in 22LR. Does it have caliber markings on barrel? Hammer and trademark look a little weird.

It was an auction down in Florida that I picked up on through one of the bidding sites.

The auction description said it was marked 44 S&W. I'm interested in the mechanics myself. I threw out a really low ball bid thinking if nothing else, it would make for a decent parts gun.

My one and only picked up in a trade with a forum member. This one left the factory 2-17-08 #421 and except for the boogered front sight is in excellent mechanical condition. They are especially neat when you get inside, craftsmanship equal to any production pieces from across the pond.

Here is mine. Found in a pawn shop marked as a 1917. Has been reamed to 45 colt using slight recess for thicker colt rims so that wider thinner case headed 455 rounds still work correctly

Very nice, especially for being such a low #!

TLs as early as yours in that # range are usually '4 screw' models.

Does yours have the screw in front of the trigger guard?

This is A 455 Mark I that has been shaved to 45 Colt. Odd thing is is does not have British proof marks anywhere . Grips are old bone.

Your 455 Mk II Triple Lock 1st Model was likely sold commercially in the USA.

If you provide a serial # I can probably pin down when and to which S&W wholesaler.

Here's mine. Made in 1922(if I remember from when I did research) Nickel plated. The grips were butchered and a previous owner put pachmayr grips on it. At some point someone replaced thumb lock. Story is someone carried it in Great Lakes area, so plate is gone in places. I shoot handloads and it is dead on. I got from my late father-in-law. He wanted to be sure I had a good backup gun. It's great when men give women "real" gun instead of a little bitty 22.
