We should thank and pray for all the over the road truckers. They are keeping us going. If they stop we are really up the creek. What was that '70s song, Convoy? GO Peterbuilt, Mack, Kenworth, and all the rest. At least the traffic is light. Give them a wave and a smile!!!

They aren't having an easy time right now. In addition to the push to delivery more goods to the retailers, the massive shutdowns of restaurants leaves them with not many options to get a decent meal on the road. Some states are closing rest areas so no available rest rooms either.

My cousin is a over the road trucker.

I asked him if their was a chance they'd get shut down. He said the first thing the government did was lift the hours of service regulations on them.

Some of them are in a little bit too much of a rush. This today a few miles east of here on I-80 and involved about 25 vehicles, mostly trucks. Fortunately, no one was killed or seriously injured this time. This is the 4th pileup in our area this year. The biggest involved about 100 vehicles and killed 3 people. Thanks to the truckers but be careful out there!

And then you have some states like Pennsylvania that seem to want to give truckers unmitigated hello. They shut down all the rest areas and bathrooms, making life pretty darned hard on truckers. Plus, they shut down restaurants at the truck stops except for drive thru windows, which trucks can't use. My daughter and SIL told me about this, since until recently were long haul truckers. He got a local trucking job a few weeks ago for the local Coca Cola bottling company, praise God, so he doesn't have to deal with this stuff now.

I stocked up beenie weenies, tuna, crackers and snacks don't know if anything would be open. Not many places to stop on my route Memphis Tn- Huntsville Al. Been hauling walmart loads and been seeing a lot of reefer trucks . Read a notice about emergency rules of operation but I can't understand complicated government wording

I drive local and most places open won't let us in to use the restroom. Can't work like this folks!
