Recently acquired a 27-2 and the only real mark on the gun is a very tiny spot on the cylinder. Actually it looks worse on the pic than in person. Most people wouldn't even see it but I am a little OCD. I would hate to touch it up and have it look even worse. Your thoughts? Thanks.

Cherish the mark. If it was absolutely pristine then you'd be afraid to handle it, if small marks grate on you that much.

It is best fixed by chasing down and buying a dead mint one, and never touching it.

OMG, how can you sleep at night with that imperfection? You have to sell it as it will drive you nuts. Of course I'm just kidding. That is a beautiful revolver and most of us would be very happy to own it as it is. Put it away for a month and then come back to it and you will not notice the pinprick and appreciate the true beauty of it.

If it were mine, I'd just leave it as is. Anything you do has the potential to lower its value. But, when all is said and done, it's your gun...do whatever you want.
