I wanted to try some different color backgrounds for my S&W shots so picked up some colored paper. Today was a good day to keep busy taking pics so here are a few with the new backgrounds.

Bill:

Love the gray background contrast with the 24-3 (28-2 ??) !

GREAT photo !

Those grips look like Wenge??? Who made them for you?

Just beautiful. Extremely crisp focus and detail. Great depth of field too. Very fine lighting. I can only aspire to this quality. Well done and thanks for sharing. God Bless, Marc

Guns & Ammo and Shooting Times could use your skills lately...... ;-) Marc

Jerry, it's actually a 28-3; I'm a little distracted today and described it as a 24-3. The grips were on it when I got it. Interestingly, they had a price sticker on the back that was printed "Ajax Grips". I kind of think they are S&W factory as they have silver washers and proper medallions.

sjstill, yes, these were taken in a home made lightbox.

Now I notice unpinned barrel !

I am very interested in the grips. I would love to see a photo of the left panel and the back of the grips if you ever have that gun out for photos again !

Love that photo ! NICE ! To my own tastes the dark gray is much "classier" than the red !

Jerry,

I'll try to get a picture of the back of the grips; here is the left side.

Bill:

Thank you !

Well the wood is too light and closed grain for Wenge and the color is wrong for Bocote ! Not sure what it is !

Very pretty though !

GREAT PHOTOS on the gray !

Jerry, here are the grips. FWIW, they look a little more red in these pictures than in person, the earlier shots of them on the gun are more "color correct". In the dry desert grips tend to shrink some; my most used remedy is the aluminum tape visible on the right panel in the picture of the back of the grips

Hey, I'm a photographer and I'm blown away by these photographs! I did realize it was a lightbox, and some of the best ones are homemade. I'm sure these photos were done by a very respectable DSLR with top-quality glass. My compliments, sir.
