Got my shield back in april and after about 500 rounds of my shield eating the following, I decided to tried the tulammo.

Multiple boxes of 100rd Win white box 115gr
50 Federals 115gr
50 Remington umc 124gr

I tried a box of tulammo 115gr from my local Walmart. It eat all of them no problem. I guess it really does eat anything. Only 9.51 out the door. That's like .19 cents per round. Though I get a 10% discount. So for cheap target ammo... I'll probably go with those next time too. Also my down and to the left is gone. Practice definetly helps. Landed all on a paper plate like 30 away. :) very pleased. Though I really need to stop spending.

I have shot some of this ammo but am kinda not too impressed due to the fact that it uses dirty powder and is the only ammo that I have had a need to wash my hands after firing it, plus all that smoke but I tried 40 and 45 ammo not 9mm so maybe I might give it a try later with one of my nines!

I will not use Tulammo. Besides being dirty the bullets are bi-metal. Thin layer of copper over a layer of steel. Can't be good for the barrel. Just my opinion.

Tried it once on my 9fs and it was waaay to dirty for me. Fired one box and decided I would rather pay a little more. On the bright side it did feed with no problems though.

I've not had any problems with Tul on 9mm, 40, and 45. Comment about how dirty it is is true and I may not use it anymore after I run out.

The polymer coating they're using now is better than the old lacquer coating they used to use, but it's still one of the dirtier brands out there and the polymer could get gummy after the chamber heats up.
I'll still use the old 'commie ammo for commie guns' adage and stick to Brass cased ammo in my pistols.

THIS!

After the chamber gets hot the polymer will transfer to the chamber and if you don't clean it all out you could get a stuck case next time you use brass cased stuff. I had this happen in my AR and some of the Kel Tec guys have had it happen with the PF-9. Also, I would be concerned that the steel case doesn't seal as well as brass (or aluminum). Some ranges don't like it because they have to sort it out.

That sounds like their problem, not mine. I've put a **** load of the commie pistol ammo down range and have never experienced all this extra wear and tear on barrels and extractors that you read about on the internet. If a gun won't run on Tula/Wolf, I won't keep it. Picky appetites are for runway models and hippies, not guns.

Cheap guns and rifles will eventually have problems with tula and wolf. I have friends who use steal case ammo exclusively, for plinking/practice, and hardly ever bother to clean their guns and those guns just keep going and going. I use that ammo all the time, never had a problem. For years my Glock & M&P eats this ammo without any melting if anything.

This is my experience with the 9mm and 45acp Tula. My fingers get black from just loading up the mags.

Aside from being dirty, they're underpowered, inconsistent and inaccurate. I'm glad to be rid of the 45acp I had, now just to be rid of the 9mm I have left. I'll gladly spend the extra dollar or two and get brass cased ammo.

Walmart Ammo

If you are lucky if you are at Walmart when when they restocks the shelves the 100 round packs Federal Champion is $19.97.

If you see it buy it on the spot and until this Presidential election is over and we see what the agenda will be for the next 4 years cheap ammo will continue to fly off the shelves.

^^^ Yeah. The people I know that use Tula were only using it to save money on plinking ammo. When Federal came out with their $19.97 Value Packs, that closed the price gap to where it's not worth the few pennies in savings... even for them.

I've tried Tula in my pistols and just don't care for it. If someone likes it, that's their prerogative.
