Before I bought a few boxes I went through the Interwebtubes looking at the various opinions. I came to the conclusion that the folks that actually shoot it have no problems with it under two conditions...

1) weapon is cleaned after each trip to the range [I would have thought that was obvious but then again I see the "Employees must wash hands after using restroom" signs and wonder] and...

2) rapid fire in large mags [30+] CAN cause a heat issue that CAN cause an issue with the coating. It again seems to go back to 1).

So far, not a single issue in either M&P9 or M&P45.

There is a saying "Shoot Commie ammo in Commie guns, shoot American Ammo in American guns."

Yup! My Chinese SKS gets all the cheapo commie ammo I can find! However, what I don't pay for in $, I pay for in maintenance! That stuff is DIRTY! Takes me forever to clean my SKS after a 100 rounds of that stuff!

My handguns (SiG, S&W, Glock, Ruger) never get fed that stuff. Probably never will, until it's truly Zombie Apocolypse time and I'm desperate to stock up.
