Two Combat Masterpieces

She gave to me for the original $800. I explained to her several times how much they were worth. She told me "Keep telling me, and I'll raise the price."

I've been married long enough to know when to shut up.

Her dead bolt quit working so I stopped by and installed one we had laying at the house.

She told me "looks like $100 to me!".

Might get to keep my kidney.

The Director (of finance and sex) found out what happened, she just shook her head and smiled

I'm late getting in on this but, this is why I enjoy the Forum. So many good people willing to do "what's right" or treat other people good when they don't have to. Good for you brother!!

The B.I.L. may of had plans to sell the revolvers as soon as he could for a tidy profit.

Many years ago I got my lake property for a good price. The former owner found out his son was using the old cabin as a lovers nest with the company secretary. The old man didn't like his son messing around on the mother of his grand kids. He did what he could to put a stop to it.

Side note!

From a guy who knows a little about presentation cases! A Walnut, plain Jane, presentation case would cost me $100 and for me to make a set of liners for those guns I would charge $100. Your heart was in the right place! Too bad the gun budget got hit, you'll find more for the gun budget! Way to go Navy!

My dad got rid of a bunch of guns long before I was interested in them. I would love the have the chance to pay a premium for what he got rid of.

She has a daughter. I told her these need to stay in the family but the daughter, nor her children, have any interest. The Brother In Law is a ****. There is a "family price" and then there is a "fair price".

I didn't intend to start a bidding war. Just wanted to make sure she didn't get taken advantage of.

Kinda hosed myself.

What you did was honorable.
