Sorry to say two of my favorite publications are shutting down. Small Arms Review and Double Gun Journal are no longer going to be available. Both of these were very well written and full of interesting articles and information. I hate to see many of the changes that are going on in our hobby.

I agree. I remember having subscribed to the Shotgun News (?) and then one day they were gone... or Muscle Car Enthusiast... or Retro RR, a British retro bike magazine that only printed two issues, which I have, before calling it quits. Perhaps in 20yrs they become valuable?! Who knows.

Call me an old Fuddy Duddy, but I miss print news papers. Reading on line is just not the same for this oldster.
I like using a tablet for reading/viewing as I can shade the background and enlarge the font size.
Granted that it is harder to wrap my fish & chips in a tablet.

Losing the Double Gun Journal is unfortunate. I remember going into a Hastings or Barnes and Noble and seeing huge racks of all sorts of magazines for special interests. Clearly a thing of the past now, which is sad.
It's called something else; "Firearms News." It is no longer a "trade paper" for FFL's but rather a gun magazine with ads in addition to firearms articles. T'aint the same at all. Joe
There are virtually no motorcycle magazines here anymore. I miss them terribly.
Thinking about it a different way, the passing of these things we enjoyed set the table for forums like this. Don't get me wrong, I liked the subscriptions to specialty magazines like all of you, but progress has casualties.

ARMAX has been revived out of the Cody Museum. I subscribed and was very impressed with the first issue. Worth checking out.

I'm another who's sad to see the passing of print magazines and newspapers. I've adapted to some degree but it's not the same.
Things change, not always for the better. Print is truly getting to be a thing of the past.
