There were two hillbillies standing on the banks of a river, one on each side.



One hillbilly howlers across the river to the other hillbilly and hollers, "How do I get to the other side of the river?"



The other hillbilly looks up and down the river a few times then hollers back, "You ARE on the other side of the river!"

You can surely cross a river, but the "other side" will always be the one you ain't on.

so then...."Why'd the chicken cross the road" is actually answered "The chicken can NEVER get to the other side....it's always on THIS side"....

which of course would lead to "The grass is always greener on the side I'm not on"...


....that 'splains a LOT right there.....
