Two new Smiths--Range report

Two brand new Smiths, Cleaned and lubed before shooting. 1. S&W 4053 125 rounds of Federal ballisticlean 135 grn. Followed by 50 rounds of Speer lawman 125 grn frangible. Followed by 20 rounds of Federal hydrashock 180 grn. FLAWLESS! I only wiped the feed ramp with my finger @ 3 times during this.
2. S&W 22A 150rounds of Remington high velocity .22 long rifle. I got several failures to feed, they were ALL on the second round out of the mag. Switched to the other mag, problem disappeared. Switched back to mag 1 and problem re-appears. I tried to call S&W but they're closed till after Jan 1. By the way, I couldn't be happier. I already own two S&W revolvers, and these are my first Smith auto's. God Bless and Happy New Year!

My 22a mags will do that also. I have learned that after loading 10 in the mag, I use my thumb to pull the little thing on the side down a little more and remove my thumb quickly causing it to push all the bullets us with a little snap. I then hit the back of the mag on my other hand and insert it. This seems to work for me. I have heard this happening to several and would like to know what S&W suggests
