Has anyone received any orders from Tyler Manufacturing lately? If so , how long from order date to arrival.

I sent in an order for, I think, 5 sets on December 21. They spent my money and I'm still waiting. This is nothing new. They can of have you by the yang-yang, as they are the only game in town. I'm figuring 3 months, if I'm lucky.

We wait a long time because each adapter is hand made. I have waited up to 24 weeks, but have never been screwed by them over tha last 50 years or so.
Every t-grip I have bought has been well neigh perfect. You won't hear a bad word about them from me.

So..Is it on that latest Cobra?

I sold the showboat Cobra for a scruffly little Agent.

And the grip adapter is destined for the Agent.

Had to pay $20 for the adapter.

togap, what size are you needing? I have a couple of extras.

No. Last one I ordered took about 2 months and had a few small pits on the polished black finish. I have a couple of the older ones that had the Melvin Tyler name and address stamped on the side and they are much better finished.

Is the quality on the newer "T" grips as good as the older ones?

My gunsmith ordered in September. Nothing. He has called and emailed but they do not respond.

Anyone know of a source for a K frame square butt adapter?

Cranky

You'd do better posting in the want to buy forum rather than this 5 month old thread.

Well this thread is no longer 5 months old, do I will add this.

Forum member Wrangler5 is making and selling his version of the old T-grip, and from everything I've read they are very good. In response to my P.M. Wrangler5 advised me, yesterday, that he now has an adapter that will fit K/L frame sq and round but revolvers as well as N frames.

If you P.M. here at the forum he will respond with his business E-mail address.

This is my first post to this forum. I've carried Smith & Wesson revolvers on and off duty for many years. I've had Tyler T Grip adapters on many of my Smith's. Never had any problems with Tyler Manufacturing until recently. I ordered a T Grip adapter for an S&W 36 for a carry gun in my present retired police status. I ordered the adapter August 19, 2011, sent a request to Tyler Mfg. at the end of September for shipping status without response. I spent an additional $5.40 for a copy of the cashed Postal Money Order. I sent a copy of the Postal Money Order with a letter a couple of weeks ago and haven"t gotten a response. I'm going to wait another week before contacting the Oklahoma State Attorney General to request an investigation of the company. Everytime I've checked Tyler Mfg's website (since September 2011) they state that all orders have been satisfied. IMO the old company was a much better company, never had to wait. At least a response with an estimated delivery date would be appreciated. I would like to order several more, but won't with this kind of service.

It seems to be hit or miss. Got mine within one week of sending out payment. I was expecting weeks, if not months, and got it in one business week. If I ever need another one, I will try BK, they seem to have faster response.

If you don't want to go the **** shoot routine try the B.K. grip adapter from our forum member Wrangler5. From everything I read on the forum he has done a great job.
