After hearing all the good things about the T-Grip adapter, I am a bit underwhelmed. The things seem to make the grip way to small on my K-frame and smashes my pinky. Are my hands just too big or is there a trick to them I have not figured out ?

I'm not sure. If anything, the T-Grip should make the Magna grips feel larger and maybe a bit shorter. I don't know why your pinkie would be affected without seeing how. Maybe your hands are large as you suspect? (It's not installed upside-down, right?) If you use any other style of grips but Magnas, such as target or any of the aftermarket rubber grips, then a T-Grip is typically unnecessary, if not impossible to use. So there's alternatives in that direction.

I like my T-Grip because it helped keep my grip where I wanted during successive shots. Otherwise my hand tends to slide-up and wedge behind the trigger-guard, by the 5th or 6th round: My hands are average-sized but my fingers aren't very stout like some folks. And of course, I favor the classic Magna style grips.

Hope you get it sorted.

No it is on correctly, I just went back the the factory Target grips or Pachmayr grips they feel the best. For what its worth I find the Pachmayr Bill Jordan style plastic grips a good sized so maybe I do have large hands!

Grip(s) are a very individual kind of thing. Even though I have big hands (glove size XL) all my guns have the TGrip (I now use BG Grips) b/c they keep my hand in place thorough successive shots. The S&W targets, while nice looking, also allow my hand to slide around w/recoil. If your pinkie is getting smashed these might not be for you. After 40 + years of shooting I've found what works for me.

I'm with ya.

I got a T-grip and was underwhelmed. It's better than using just the magnas, but not as good as a good wood targets or Hogues. For shooting, I just prefer the rubber Hogues.

To each their own I guess.

Magna + Tyler T-grips on a K-frame/N-frame = perfect for me. But then I have small hands (short fingers) with a fairly wide fleshy palm. The bigger, bulkier target type grips give me a feeling that the revolver is kinda swiveling around, can't hold it straight. ODDLY enough the last two K-frames I bought came with over-the-back-strap Uncle Mike's rubber grips and they feel fine too. Go figure, it is very subjective and individual.

I find now that the best grips for me cover the backstrap. But outside of rubber Pachs, it is hard to find that type. I need to break down and just order some Herrets Jordan Trooper stocks. Hogues seem too slim and when firing Magnums I really love the covered backstrap.

If you have really large hands, you'll probably hate the T-grip. My buddy has huge hands, and his problems with the T-grip sound exactly like yours..

I have little bitty elf hands, so for me, the T-grip is the best thing since sliced bread.

I think T Grips are absolutely horrible. They ram my knuckle HARD into the triggerguard. Hate them. I see I'm not the only one, but apparently we are the very few... most everyone else seems to adore them...

If you are not happy with your T Grip, please PM me. I am looking for one for a K square butt. Thanks.
(Sorry if this reply is in the wrong place)

I tried one on my Security Six.

Once.

Not for me.

Sold it in a hurry.

I have that problem with T-grips on K frames. But I really like the T-grips on J frames.

Bill

I do not like them either. I tired to be open minded, but they bother me.

I took this one off and threw it away, then got several inquiries asking me to sell it. I dug it out of the trash and mailed it to the gentleman that put me onto the S&W 58.

I removed these from a nickel S&W 10 and a 36 and sent them to a forum member before some poor critter choked on them at the local landfill.

I swapped this one for a Sig P225 magazine.
