Tyler T-Grips

Hi All,

I got mine today -8/8/13. It was sent by first class mail on August 6th. The invoice date is 5/22/13 (less than a week after I sent my order in by mail).

That's eleven weeks or so. Given that my order went out shortly before the proprietor got hit by a tornado, that's not too bad. My invoice total was $30.75.

I really hope that Tyler T-Grips gets back on their feet and gets order turnaround times down.

Nevertheless, I'm a happy camper. The new T-Grip goes great with the factory replacement wooden grips I got from Midway earlier this year: Smith & Wesson Factory Grips S&W K L-Frame Square Butt Checkered

So, with a file and some abrasives, I reprofiled and refinished my T-Grip. It looks a lot better now. =)

I ordered back in April. I think the tornado hit in late June, so in my mind I should have received the T grip before the tornado. I've emailed once with no response, left a phone message with no response, Got "JR" on the phone 3 different times, each time he had an excuse. 1. working by himself and can't get good help, should ship soon 2. tornado, please be patient 3. Three weeks ago, I should have it in 5 days. I doubt I'll ever put myself through this again. It's really a shame, as I'm pulling for this guy to succeed but I'm really pissed off at the deception.

I just received the four I ordered in June. Three black, and one bronze. Finish looks pretty good on all of them.

Then there's always "that guy" - the one who has been a member for a long time, with a total of three posts, all concerning the T-Grip and how he loves it.

Ah well. I lurk a lot because I know so much less than most of the folks here. :)

For what it's worth, I'll be posting some photos of my S&W 67-1 soon. It was a sheriff's department (or perhaps correctional institution) turn-in that I got two years ago. I sent it to the S&W factory for their master revolver tuning package. Now it's simply amazing.

Ya'll got me interested enough to try once more to find a Tyler #3R without dealing with the actual company.
Just checked eBay and there was a #3R with a 'buy it now' for $14.99.
Did it - they usually go for twice that or more.

didnt like the ones....

i had years ago & wont buy anymore .

wish the guy luck on re-building his business but he's got nothing i want !

A seller on ebay has Tyler nos. 3 and 3R in quantity with a Buy it Now of $15.99 each. I just ordered 3 of each. Both auction say more than 10 available. These look like older ones with the box and are new.

Put my BK adapter on my Sambar Stag grips yesterday. I was drawing from the holster and a perfect grip everytime.
Big improvement and the color ivory blends well. If I ever figure out the picture thing I'll post some.

Guess what came in the mail today. ...

Guess they are still alive but slower than pouring molasses in Alaska in December, but still ticking along ???

FYI Tyler is still having issues. Ordered adapters in Nov. I even received a text message on shipping w/o a tracking number. Still no package, nor response to emails, text messages or phone messages.

Time to look at BK and contact Attorney General.

Wish it had occurred to me to do a search on them prior to purchase. I've purchased from them many years ago without issue....you don't know what you don't know. I've got a nice 27-2, 3 1/2" that needs em!
