Navy guy asking: top of the diploma states the school training was 'engineering' but the bottom indicates you were military intelligence. Is this a story that maybe can't yet be told?😎
I uncovered a box of pictures, certs, and things that mom saved while I was 'in'...a time when I was younger and fit and I thought I was indestructible and handsome. Them's were the good days.

I was stationed at FT Belvoir from late 1968 to August of 1970. As a Quartermaster 2LT I was assigned to the Director of Services. I was OIC of the Ration Distribution Section and also Assistant Post Mortuary Officer. It was a rewarding experience. 20 years later I served as a Colonel 0-6 with the Army Material Command just up the road from FT Belvoir during Operation Desert Storm. My wife and I were married at the Post Chapel while I was there in 1969.
I do know that OCS was tough. Thank you for your service!!!

Yes, approximately half of my OCS class was commissioned in Military Intelligence rather than Engineering as the Army had an increased requirement for intelligence officers in Vietnam at that time. Although I was expecting to eventually go to Vietnam all during my training at Ft. Bliss, Ft. Polk, and Ft. Belvoir, it was not to be. Instead the Army subsequently sent me to Army Security Agency Europe Headquarters in Germany and assigned me as a G4 Supply Officer. I remained there until June 1972 when I was released from active duty as part of the Vietnam drawdown.
