HI ALL UK shooters, for those interested or waiting. AW-Armouries UK now have PT handles in stock. Received email today. £35 plus P&P. Half the price of MidwayUK and no import costs.

Now feeling pleased mine was cancelled by Midway UK as out of stock. Should get mine tomorrow. If next day del is to be believed.

Hope it's useful. :)

Helpful. Lol.

I know where there is a good sized chunk of Tacticool handles but it was the actual latch that I was after to fit to the Tacticool handle I already have.

I know Jody has some new style ones Due out in "Summer" but seems that is closely guarded secret at this time. :) so no hints at time frames or release dates just now.
So for now I will have to be content with the ambi paddle on a Tacticool handle.

Seems to be the most popular set up this side the pond at the mo from what I have seen.

Though once mine arrives and I strip it out I'm not sure what I will do with 2 stripped out PT handles. HAHAHA. :D

Maybe start a used parts depot or something. Though I am thinking of getting some soft ish alloy and trying out making my own paddle/Latch. Just to see if I can get one that is unique to me.

Hi A1

That is what I was posting. I just had email to say they are now in stock again.

So you did :)

Adam is a good guy.

Just waiting for mine to arrive. Ordered yesterday through a friend. Should get tomorrow or Friday. Then strip out latch and refit to another handle. Should be good to go for a serious round on bank holiday Friday evening. :D

I have one on mine too, although I purchase direct from tacticool when I order the barrel clamp and barrel nut tools. A great addition to the 15-22.

Beauty is that it's a straight swap - no tools neede.

Ok. So potential silly question here. Split retaining roll pin for latches. Same size for PT handle and Tacticool handle ? Just before I batter mine to death switching latch over. .....

Thanks in advance

Mark.

yes.....:D

but it can be tricky......i used long nose pliers to hold the pin

the mil spec roll pins can vary very slightly in dia, and you will

need an alignment pin to aid with installation.....good luck;)

Ok. Pin out and didn't lose the spring (bonus), respray tomorrow then refit Ambi latch to Tacticool charge handle and try NOT to lose pin. :D

With little luck, jobs a good un!!

Pics to follow once completed. :)

Well. Here it is. For what it's worth. Air fix enamel type paint, thinned and airbrushed. Not a perfect match but pretty close. :D

Will match in nice with next purchase which will be scorpion grip.

Overall look is about there. Now to find the alloy and have a go with making my own latch ( will be by hand as only have hand tools and Dremmel ). :D

Could be interesting if nothing else. Lol

Pin went straight in with long nosed pliers and a swift tap. Eyes must be better than I thought. :)

Sorry Pics didn't attach last time. :o

better luck this time.. :)

So. To build my own latch, 1050 grade plate aluminium on order. Dremmall and fine work tools on standby. Some sketched designs drawn and ready to transfer onto material. Now just gotta find fine files and of course wait for material to be delivered. Just my luck to order just before public holiday!!! Duh! :D

Pics will come once I have it cut out, and then the decision is do I polish or paint?
