Spoke to Marc at Gemini, and my ultimate J frame package is finished and on its way home on Monday. Not sure I will get it out until next weekend, but I will send you all some pictures once I have it back.

Take a 640-1 and then:

Gemini Customs Hybra Port ™ Barrel (V-8)
Action Job
Crown Barrel
Chamfer Cylinder Throats
Moonclip Conversion
Dehorn for Carry And Sculpted Frame and Cylinder
Dovetail Front Site
Straighten crane and extractor +/- .003
Replace all Springs
Bead Blast entire Revolver
Hard Chrome Plating by Tripp Research Inc.
Extended Ejector Rod and Center Pin
Crane Locking Ball
Extended Length Firing Pin

Pictures and range report to follow, in due course!

On my other 640 that Marc worked, the action is the best I have felt. We had a group of 5 J-frames out before Christmas, and it the Gemini edged out the rest (S&W custom shop, Weigand, Teddy Jackobson, and factory guns). Not by a lot, but enough that we all agreed on the winner.

I hope the new one is just as good.

can you shoot it @ night also? interested in what the flash is like coming from those 8 ports. sounds like a very nice piece.

I think too many people make a big deal out of shooting a ported barrel at night. Shoot one without ports and see how you like it. I think you won't see much difference either way, at least I don't.

porting at night?

I shoot my existing ported gun in the evenings frequently. The muzzle flash with 357 out of any 2 inch gun is significant. But I dont have any problems with it either way. As a pocket gun, I can shoot full house 357s comfortably and accurately. I prefer a 1911, but it is not always so easy to have one handy.

So I think I agree with MSgt, if I understand his comment. The flash is over so quickly that my eyes dont adjust.

Picking up the sights is not so easy, but for close range, the index of the gun in my hand is sufficient out to 7 yards...good enough...
