Turbo,
Since you have reread your posts and are fine with the content, this will be my last post as it seems like you truly will never get it.
So you only responded negatively towards the OP bacause of his "nasty attutude toward S&W and others"? At the time of your first post, the only negative remarks the OP made were directed towards S&W, not an individual, so I guess your statement is not entirely true. The OP was venting his frustration. You never answered my question about you being inside a S&W revolver.
The only reason I mentioned your short time of membership was in an attempt to minimize your accusation and poor judgement. Sharing is OK, attacking the competency of another member is, IMO, not OK.
I never thought about you as a rookie. But since you did, think of yourself as a non rated seaman, and CG more like the BMC. Go down to the geedunk and get yourself a nice hot Coke and relax. Dean

Mornin Dean,

I don't get it?.... ok, I'm fine with that statement, I considered the source and the manipulation of words in these posts, I've participated on many boards over the years, seen it before, pick a few words and twist..;).... I learned a long time ago, I can only change myself, sometimes I forget and think maybe I can instill what I see and feel into others... I also don't feel as I attacked anyone, a better word is defended a company and a few good men here. I have never disassembled the area of the revolver in question here. I don't have to, to assess a broken piece of metal in a picture... have a great day and Happy New Year

Oh ya... one more thing, just because I have the USN symbol, doesn't exactly mean I was a sailor.. Let's just say my favorite saying is "Seabees Can do"

Here are some higher resolution photos showing the defective trigger lever as well as the file marks on the topstrap included free of charge.

The trigger lever is obviously a defective molded piece.

If this is your idea of quality, step right up and bring your money.

Any moron who still thinks I broke my own gun by dis assembling it can now shut the hell up.

This is my last post.

Very nice pics, I stand corrected as these pics look nothing like the first ones.

I would guess your last statement is directed at me, I feel like I'm in high school again, being called names, but with 1300 plus posts, I understand you have earned that right... By the way, if you read my first post, I didn't say you broke it.. I asked a question... like your assessment of who worked on your gun... which was based on what you saw... I too made an assessment of what I saw and asked you a question.. no need to get your Panties in a bunch. I didn't call you names or make accusations of a negative tone.. hope you are having a better day... :)

Happy New Year,:)

No but you clearly implied that he either broke the part himself or was an incompetent amateur. That was uncalled for. Also the first pictures posted were not at high enough resolution to make any judgement at all - but you did and the one you made was incorrect.

Nuff said.

Hey Thanks so much for pointing that out, thought I did address that, guess not enough for your taste.. If a part gets by QC, it's ok to hammer the whole company and every employee there.. nice, that's the way some are.. I hope I am not that way.. ever.. but then I am human..

There are lots of statements that were uncalled for... where do we start.

This one was really neccesary... Maybe you can address them all If you think what I said was uncalled for... guess it's ok for some and not others, but then you don't know me either, I'm like one of those guys that works at S&W that you don't know .. so it's ok.. say what you want..

Happy New Year... Nuff said.. ;)

I still don't get all of the drama. If I got that gun and saw the poor worksmanship, I'd just return it and ask for a new gun. I can't think of any manufacturer that would just send replacement parts - as someone said, for liability reasons. This thread might have been more productive if it had started "I got this new S&W with some POS worksmanship and sent it back with a note saying how disappointed I was" ...But maybe that's just my style. -RZ

That trigger lever does look kind of funky. I can't imagine why anyone would take a file to the bottom of the top strap like that........unless they got pissed off after cutting their finger. Next time, slide a feeler gauge between the barrel end and the top strap when you are trying to clean up the outside edge. If you mess up a file stroke, you will rub the feeler gauge and not the frame.

you'll see that it is not unusual for them to have file marks on the topstrap, right from the factory.

Sometimes their safe-edge files don't seem to be safe-edged enough.

The trigger lever simply looks like an MIM that's tip didn't form properly. Sometimes they slip thru.

Are you in emergency need of this firearm? Has a protective order been filed and you are in danger? Oh I get it, PODUS called and you are needed with that gun to protect his life. Call S&W get the lable send it back. In two weeks it will be back fixed. If not keep sending it back till fixed. Next time buy an Astra or Charter Arms. Venting is one thing excessive blubbering is another. Oh and some of us old timers on here know why you quit posting. For crap just like this.

Ive tried to have my stealth hunter repaired sent it back to receive it still not repaired.Told them to test fire it. Barrel alignmet was out and under tightened, Cone and cylinder not in spec. Put a scope on it and the port exaust fogs my scope. Performance center? HA HA HA LOL!!!!! It will put a 2 of six in a 6" at 25yds.I was hoped to deer hunt to a 100 yds. not with this gun.JUNK will sell it and go with a Ruger super red hawk.
S&W really dosent care till people stop buying. I would check out the Ruger and read reviews. With the 629 many people have the same problems
