Uncle Mikes Boot Grips?

I thought that Uncle Mikes Boot Grips were no longer being made. It appears that S&W still has them available in their "store". Product: J Round Boot Grip Uncle Mike's (No Logo)
Anyone ordered them recently from S&W? Being from the "factory store" they seem a bit pricey.

Ordering anything direct from the manufacturer is pricey. They have to abide by their farcical "retail price". This goes for any manufacturer. Can you imagine if the supplier undersold their retailers?

I bought a one piece boot grip for my 3" J frame, made by Hogue. It is called a Bantam grip. it uses no screws & snaps in place & locks. the price was only $22.00. I dont normally like rubber grips, but this one feels great on the 3" HB J frame .38.

It's pretty routine for them to pop up from time to time. Same with the Ruger Lett grips. They don't have any since Lett long since shut doors. Then they are everywhere again. It's like they find a missing crate in the corner of the warehouse full of stocks and grips from time to time.

OK before I place the order for the Uncle Mike's grips....Has anyone received a set recently from S&W? I don't want the hassle of doing a return if Uncle MIke's are no longer in stock and they substitute the new "synthetic" grips.

Uncle mike j frame boot grips are all over,look on e-- ,gb,whateer, Its the k-frame squarebut that you cant find anywhere.Like said above bantam about same grip just harder on and off,but no screw to deal with.

Ordered 2 pair about a month ago. Took 2 1/2 weeks to get 'em.
They were a bit salty, but well worth the money. Love those grips.

"Salty"? Did you order them from S&W? I ordered a pair last week. I don't expect perfection in rubber grips. (They most certainly aren't Spegel's.) But I do expect them to arrive in good shape.

"Salty" is sailor and Marine slang. He likely means they looked a bit old, maybe dusty or the packaging a bit rough, as if they've been in storage awhile.

Thanks for clearing this up. I already have a pair for my Model 36. I'm buying the second set for a 442 that I am considering buying. Don't like to new style grips all that much. I didn't want messed up grips on a new gun.

Recently bought some used Uncle Mikes Combat Grips (#59007) for my 642. The one sold by S/W is similar to the old Uncle Mikes #59010. I have one of those on a 34-1. The factory grips on the 442/642 are just too small for me.

Grips arrived today "traditional" Uncle Mike's boot grips as listed in web catalog. Packed in a baggy. Not a bit "salty". IMO best rubber grips for a "j" frame. Comfortable and easy on and off.

Just a little clarification. "Salty" meaning hard to swallow, bitter, displeasing (as in expensive). Yep, it's old Navy slang.
Over $60 with shipping for 2 pair. The grips were in "as new" shape.
