Under Steering Column Holster Mount- Model 627

Has anyone tried the Gum Creek "under the steering column" mount for their Model 627 (2-5/8"bbl) or other N-frame? I've been looking at them because I often carry my big snubbie in the car, usually in the door storage or console. For $54, this looks like a nice alternative except that I'd have to get a left-handed holster for a right-hand draw.

Having to buy a left handed holster was my thought when I first saw this mounting system. If you watch the video (Universal Vehicle Handgun Holster Mount - Steering Wheel Column Application) you can see the spring clip on the left side of the holster (right handed), but he is running the mount system through the belt loop on the right side. I believe belt loops on both sides of nylon holsters are typical. If you are looking for something other than nylon, you may indeed be correct.
