unfluted 625?

Okay, so I love both 625's and all unfluted cylinder guns.

So the other day, I'm looking at the SCSW and there's product code 100924, a 5" unfluted 625 made in 1989.

Has anyone ever seen one? Pictures?

This could be my ultimate grail gun...

Just an FYI product code 100924 is a model 25-7 in .45 Colt. They are a deadly accurate revolver if you do your part. As requested here is a picture or two.

I have a 25-7 and agree they are great guns.

The original question, though was about the SCSW3 listing of a 625 with the same code of 100924 - no one seems to have any knowledge of this?

Or maybe an error in the big book?

Numrich sells what they claim are unfluted .45 ACP cylinders in the 625-10 section. I noticed that just yesterday when I was checking to see if they have any more 2" barrels in stock, which they do. Was the -10 ever made with an unfluted cylinder?

I purchased this un-fluted cylinder from them, and it was indeed un-fluted. It was installed on a 22-4 conversion with the same barrel they have listed, but the barrel was purchased from an individual.

My "-10" is fluted, and I believe they all were, as the point was to make a light gun, while maintaining a ss cylinder.

I posted this before in a thread somewhere, or at least the gun if not this particular pic. Tight as a drum. I had Dave at Defensive Creations in Alliance, OH put her together for me. No blending work done on outside though:

Nice! Mine is all stainless with an adjustable rear sight and fluted cylinder. I converted my old hard use match gun, so I can't say mine is tight as a drum, but it's still a flawless performer. I was beginning to think I'm the only one with an all steel .45 ACP revolver with a 2" barrel.

Numrich still has these barrels and cylinders in stock if anybody else wants to make one.
