Unloved 66 snub finds forever home

Hi folks,

I found an ugly 66 stinking up a gun case that nobody wanted, and filled out the government adoption papers to take it home.

The finish is….challenged, but the action is the tightest K-frame I’ve ever felt.










Predictably filthy inside.




At least one of the assembly crew had a sense of humor, possibly two…



Depopulated and ready for cleaning!

I believe it to be a repro from Robertson.

Fitment is fair, price is commensurate with fitment.

Your setup is impeccable.

It always amazes me at how some people can inflict that much neglect and damage to a fine firearm. I carried a M60 daily for over 40 years, shot thousands of rounds through it and it still looks and works great. I used it but did not abuse it. What some guys can do is bewildering!

Ever since I was a kid watching Simon and Simon I loved that 2.5" M66 AJ carried most of the series. Rick often changed guns per season but you could tell both of them were firearms enthusiasts. I mean, reloading with speedloaders in an 80s TV gunfight, so cool. I have a 3" M66 but it's not the same.
