Untouchables is on AMC tonight, while watching the train station scene, what shotgun is Elliot Ness carrying under his coat. It looks like a Winchester model 12 but I'm not sure. I have seen the movie 20+ times on TV over the years but never recorded it to pause that scene. Thanks for any help!

It is the same shotgun. Winchester shortened it to M12 in 1919.
The M12 is one of the greatest shotguns ever made, as is the M97.

Kevin Costner uses a '97 in the first raid at the post office across from the police station. He uses a Model 12 at the Canadian/US bridge fight and at the train station when they capture the bookkeeper.

Notice the hood with the 45 against the bookkeeper's head in that scene. The 45 has an external extractor (a S&W?).

More likely a Star. Lots of those used for movie guns and converted to fire blanks.

I think Stacy Keach used a Star as Mike Hammer, when they had to shoot the gun. The story is that the 9mm Star works better with blanks than a .45.
