Unusual 686 plus

I was in a LGS the other day and saw an unusual 686 plus. It had a 5" barrel, fiber optic front sight and smooth target grips with finger grooves. These may not be original. Also it missing the lug under the barrel. It did have the safety lock. I tried an internet search but got nothing. Has anyone ever owned or seen one of these? Talo?

I've got a 686 TALO with the 7" barrel, also without the full underlug. I had only seen the TALO revolvers in the full underlug previously.

While not my favorite revolver, this 7" balances and shoots very well.

One of the dealer specials back in the day. I think there were 2 versions of that 5" revolver.

There have also been limited special runs of non-full lug 686s in the past. Someone here who has one will probably be along to post.

Never knew that existed, so thanks for sharing. I've seen the 5" ejector shroud 686's but never a 7"

they have the balance a 686 should have in my opinion.. great shooter once you acclimate to the sights..
