UPDATE: How'd I Do

I recently ran across a guy that had some guns forsale in my town. After I talked to him it turned out he was a family friend of my grand parents from many years ago. The guns I am picking up are a
LNIB mod. 36 that has had 3 rounds through it

A NIB nickel mod. 10 snub

NIB mod 19 no dash

NIB mod 28 no dash

I have 2000 in them how'd I do?

These two should be worth $2000 +/- so you got the other 2 for pretty much nothing


EDIT: after looking at the pics, I dont believe you have a 19 "No Dash" or a 28 "No Dash". These would be 4-screw revolvers with diamond magna or target stocks. You have what appears to be a very nice 19-3 or 4 and a 28-2; they are still worth good money but not the $2,000.00 I originally estimated.

i havent picked them up yet ill get them friday the picture it doesnt but all grips match for sure also they all do just not pictured

he has a model 1917 like new but he wanted 1000 for it.
they all also come with rubber grips for free

If the 28 and 19 are really no dash guns, they are both missing the original diamond grips.

I do not see the cleaning kits and screwdrivers that should have accompanied NIB guns.

the 28 also looks to have a pretty good drag line around the cylinder, so it may not be unfired.

Probably still a fair deal at $2k.

all of them have the cleaning kits and paper work also he said they were no dash guns but i havent had them in my hands and I was sure all were unfired by one im sure they have been turned over the years the drag line looks faint in all the pictures

Is the 1917 a Commercial or military model? The best way to tell is look for the S&W trademark stamp and the absence of military stampings such as "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" under the barrel. If it has a trademark stamp, it is a commercial model. They are substantially more valuable than a military because there are fewer of them. $1K would be no brainer in that case.

It is a commercial model in blue is what he told me would it be worth trading both snub noses for it

I don't think anyone can tell you if it is worth $1K or 2 snub noses without seeing it first. If it is original and in top condition, then perhaps $1K would be okay. But, in a trade, it would depend on the value you place on the 2 snub noses.
