I am loading Oregon bullets in a SW 14-3 lit with Unique as in pownal55's post. I loaded Oregons 125 grain FLN and 158 grain SWC and shot them against Rem 125 grain FMJ factory ammo. I am no expert marksman, but I am consistent enough that you can see a relative comparison. At 50" offhand the core group minus flyer for Rem was 1 3/8x 1 1/4. The Oregons was 1 3/8x 1 1/8. At 25 yards from a rest the relationship stayed the same only the group size was bigger. (I shot better groups off hand than from the rest!)I did note that the 158 grain needs a hotter load to be accurate, as has been mentioned on the forums and was backed up by my local smith. ( I used 4.0 Unique)For me and my gun the Oregon bullets shot just as well as the factory Remington loads...I have a photo here but don't see an attachments enabled. If someone can talk me through adding a photo I'll post it. Thanks, 1magi

You need to have your pics on a hosting website(photobucket.com etc) Theres directions here somewhere. Sign up on Photobucket.com....upload some pics, click on "my albums", when you move your mouse over the pic you want to post, some links show under it, Copy the IMG link and paste it in the reply box on the forum...done...

Oregon Trail makes an excellent bullet. I was using them exclusivly until they started pushing their prices up, all but doubled them in the last year or so.

Thanks there shovel wrench I'll give it a try, pownal55 posted pics of a terrible grouping fromOregon bullet SWC's and a few seconded it so I treidit with teh same gun powder and bullets with much betterresults, so I don't think it was the Oregon bullets. I will try the photobucket route to get teh target pic on here. Thanks much for your response.1magi

Hi! no luck yet, I got the images in photobucket but couldn't copy them and post them here.I know it isn't rocket science, but.... 1magi

1magi, those pics were posted by another forum member who had the same problem. sounds like you had better results than i did. i will load some to maximum velocity and compare them to my first load (4.3gr unique ). to be continued, thanks, bob

Success at last! Thanks for the info on adding photos guys and to Lee Jarrett. Left side is offhand from 50' with Rem at top,the right side is from a rest at 20 yards with Rem at top. It may not be great shooting, but I noted that the relative group size between the Remington's and the Oregons stayed consistent... I will keep using Oregon's only I will load them at the upper end of the powder levels. 1magi
