Nice old HE 3rd. A 4" to boot. Weren't most Wolf & Klar guns in 5"? I can't wait for the "after" shots. I think you will be pleased at how the aforementioned techniques clean that baby up.
Thanks Mark,
Always more nuances to learn about S&Ws.
Just FYI those grips are from a M-58 .41 mag.
Good eye!
Magna "Plain Clothes", the only N frame application for them.
Maj45K, did it look like the one in the front in this pic? That's a 3rd Model in the 33500 serial range - ca. 1929-'30.

FYI- extractors are blue, not CH.The trigger and hammer are case hardened as is the extractor star,
I certainly can't disagree with any enthusiasm. The 3rd series started in 1926 at 28 and change (28358). That gun was part of the first shipment---75 guns, all 5", all nickel, shipped January 27,1927.

Another early one - 286xx, shipped March 8, 1927. I can't see numbers on the grips.
Well-used and nice silvery blue finish.
In case you weren't aware, the first shipment of 3rd model .44s went to Wolf & Klar on January 27, 1927. It consisted of 75 5" nickel revolvers. I was blessed to find one from that 1st shipment back around 2005 or 2006.
