Updated!! Might want to fasten your seatbelt...

Nope. Essential for safety and security (illinois)

Yes. I agree. But the original post seems like just a typo, that if corrected brings us all into agreement.

-But, who knows?

I suspect (and hope) that Czechvar did mean "nonessential."

I think (and hope) that coltle6920 is as pro-gun, pro-Constitution, pro-freedom as I imagine that the rest of us are.

These guys wouldn't be here otherwise.

That's just me though.

Now that we know that Czech had it right, gun stores are "essential" in Illinois...

...it begs the question of what the "long term implications" of declaring gun stores essential are?

It means... Czech?

Maybe he's thinking that, now that they've been declared "essential" it will be more difficult to abridge citizens' rights.

I like that!

I was tempted to give them credit when I first heard about this, but my opinion has changed since chewing on it for a while. I think there is a deep, dark motive to their madness, and that is they can now claim that they fully recognize the 2nd, so how can anyone claim that all the laws and regulations in their states are actual infringements? I mean isnt that the basis of their arguments, that the restrictions they support are not actual infringements? So now they can claim "how can you accuse me of infringements on the 2nd, when I just acknowledged its importance by allowing gun & ammo sales to continue?"

I wonder what the individual Mayors have to say about it. The Fed is allowing States to decide what's best and then in most cases the State is allowing counties to decide.

An ulterior motive behind this? Sure, why not!

I won!! I won!!

Niener!! Neiner!!

My idea and nobodies taking it away from me. So there!

Went back to my market today to see if any paper towels were in stock. None to be found but I did stock up on some food items. When I got to the checkout line there was blue tape all over the store marking where you were supposed to stand. More signs than the LA. freeway.

Sometimes you have to act like an idiot to get through to an idiot.

Let it go.

This thread reminds me of a quote from Teddy Roosevelt:
