Wife (my I.T. person) is out of town this week. So of course this is when the battery back up takes a dump! Wouldn't take a reset when I got home last night. I'm now plugged directly into the wall.
QUESTION?
Where's the cheapest place I'm sure to find one of these critters? Home Depot, Lowe's, Office Depot, other?
THANKS!

Interstate Battery or Battery Patrol, make sure you take the old battery, and make sure they replacement is the same. Some of the older 3/8 spade connector batteries are replaced by 1/4 spade types. They will also dispose of the corpse.

Depends. Some of the battery backups have non-replaceable batteries. Ergo, you must buy a whole new unit.

Had to replace mine last year (non-replaceable type) and Ebay had the best deals by far.

Buy from a seller with a good track record and you can save some big bucks.

If it's an APC and you want to replace it, they had a trade-in program a while back. They also have a way to have a battery shipped to you off their website, but I have no idea what that costs. I recently had to upgrade because the drivers were not compatable or available for Vista

I now can see this has the potential for excitement of finding smokeless powder loading info for a .45/90!
Thanks Guys! It's that kind of inside baseball info that keeps a newbie from getting jammed up!

Some simply use a UPS to smooth out the voltage, and not crash the computer if the power goes off. Others connect their computer via data cable and the UPS voltage spreads can be adjusted, and the UPS can be configured to shutdown programs and turn off the computer. The latter will require software to be installed at some point, although they will work without as well. I have an all electric home and my wall voltage is all over the place when the HVAC is going. Even my TV's have UPS's.

As we are here too.
I think it's running to mow off the spikes more so than a true B/U? I recall it keeping programs running, but in the background sort of on a pilot light. Thanks Again!
