Expedited? Are you kidding me. Shipped 28 Dec. w/ delivery date of 3 Jan. Oh no, now it will be 4 Jan. Oh, our mistake, 5 Jan. So now it's headed to the USPS so they can work their magic. Give me a break. MidwayUSA needs to find a better way.

The only way Midway is going to stop this non-sense is if they get enough push back from customers and if enough customers quit dealing with them for this reason.
On the other hand, my last several items that were supposed to be handed off to USPS were kept and delivered by UPS so it was a non-issue.

I ordered some supposed GI 1911 grips from SARCO and I am seeing the same thing, you are right it’s ridiculous. I think somehow UPS is involved in this and it’s sure to tarnish their reputation. From the only tracking I have seen the package is going in the wrong direction to get to me..

With the Expedited - I’ve have a Ring and Run with Silver pitched up at my front door.
I would have much preferred for it to be locked in the mailbox which is right in front of my house.

I do not care for this shipping method. Once the item is handed to USPS tracking stops or at least for me it has. Usually the item shows up sooner than originally scheduled but not always. Midway has shipped small items by mail and that stand alone method is much faster.
Going through the very same thing myself with an order from Midway, that was UPS to USPS. Today was the 4th update on delivery. Problem is they could shipped what I order in a standard envelope faster. Last time I am dealing with Midway....
I'm waiting on a part from Midway that shipped the same way. It shipped 12/29.
UPS tracking is showing delivery on 1/8, but I'm not sure if that's to me or the post office.
Everyone...Tell Customer service at Miiiiidway. They used to be a really good comany to deal with. I cancelled an order that was backordered...month and a half later. It was on my porch. No notification it was shipped. I had already bought the item elsewhere...900 dollars worth. They told me I hadn't cancelled the order but I had printed a screen shot ot the order cancellation. US mail innovations is shorthand for screwed up
My postal carrier told me that the USPS frequently delivers small packages that are handed off to them from UPS.
Yesterday, I handed my mail carrier a Christmas Card addressed to someone else with a different address (other than house number) and had been delivered to me by mistake 3 times. I wonder if it will actually get delivered, show up here yet again, or simply get tossed out. Mail service ain't what it used to be.

I usually don't order from Midway unless they have free shipping.
The downside is that they use the cheapest shipping, which is the UPS/USPS thing. This will usually take 5 to 7 days to get delivered. BUT if I have ammo included in the order, it will come to me via UPS, which will get delivered in 2 to 4 days. When I order, I add at least one box of 22 rimfire; problem solved.

I wasn't crazy about this method either, so when I order from Midway, I usually add a bag of Shotgun Wads. This makes it too large a package for the UPS / USPS combo and it comes by UPS all th eway.

Another day and it's still not here. UPS says delivery today by 9pm but USPS has it now and my mailman has already come and gone. H Richard might have something there.
Recently ordered a Desantis holster from Midway. Got tracking info from UPS. Said it was arriving on a Tuesday. On Tuesday it said Wednesday. On Wednesday it said Thursday. It finally showed up Friday before Christmas in my mailbox USPS. I had never heard of this before then. Maybe it’s broke or maybe it was delayed because of holiday volume.
My mail carrier Sean is great, he goes the extra step.

Well its been 5 days of its coming tomorrow, and its getting pretty old guys. Two little springs and caps and it takes this long...well I guess I learned a hard lesson once again..

Midway has always been UPS all the way to the door for me, but I've experienced the UPS->USPS thing with other outfits. In EVERY case it added at least an extra day, usually two to the delivery.
