Not a complaint, just a "thing that makes me go 'hmmm'."I have bought ammo from Target Sports over the last 7-8 years. Usually goes from Conn. to Jax, down to Orlando and then to the house. This last one is a "curious journey" supposed to end here tomorrow:

The "scenic route." I'll be waiting.
PS: It is a small order, 8 box loose package. Joe

Reminds me of a sign along the freeway, "Boss said to put something up, I did". Brilliant or lazy, not sure.
Maybe they have to have ammo moved out by a certain time, can't have it sitting around.
So, the first truck leaving is elected as the correct next step just so long as it doesn't stay on their dock.

8+ hours/550 mi from Knox to Jax. If’n it gets there before 9pm they can shoot it down to Orlando before dawn. My delivery guy leaves the shop around 9 am, we’ll see. Joe

As I stated in another thread, I bought a new Colt Python from a shop in Pensacola, and it was shipped March 4th Priority Mail to my LGS in a suburb of Atlanta - 350 miles away. It wasn't delivered until 3/20. 16 days. Ridiculous.

Edit: Oops - when I saw your original post, I thought it said "USPS" instead of UPS. My bad.

If I have this correct, Your placed your order on the 19th, The order will arrive on the 22nd.

That’s 3 days from Ct to Orlando. I know you’re not complaining, but that’s not bad.

Fed Ex Ground took 2 days to get a package of mine from Ohio to Indiana. That should have taken 1 day.

Nothing is what it used to be. I always request UPS. They’re still the best.
I am biased. I worked at UPS for 43 years.

7:45 PM it's in Jax. It'll go out on the "night truck" that's probably on the way, 2.75 hours to Orlando. Right on time, just wondering about the route. UPS is the best. 42 years ago when I first got my FFL they charged me about $4 to ship a gun to California. NEVER lost anything/ had a problem. Joe

I'm impressed. The "rest of the story" which up until this order would be "departed Conn" and 2 days (36 hours actually) later "arrived in Jax." Joe

I bought some ammo from Midway...just one state away. The ammo was packed in styrofoam containers inside the manufacturers cardboard box inside a shipping box. By the time it got to me, the styrofoam had shaken into tiny pieces and was stuck to everything. Quite the mess.
As many times as your box has been thrown about, I hope there's no styrofoam involved.

I ordered parts from Rapid City. I live 50 miles west of Rapid. My package went from Rapid to Sioux Falls to Minneapolis to Sioux Falls to Rapid to Me. 3 days to go 50 miles.

I'm currently waiting for a package shipped with USPS that is coming to me in MO from NJ by way of Salt Lake City. It did stop here briefly on it's way to SLC. I hope it can stick the next landing.
