JOB - URINE TEST (Whoever wrote this one deserves a HUGE pat on the back!)

Joe, the average worker says; Like a lot of folks in this state, I have a job. I work, they pay me. I pay my taxes and the government distributes my taxes as it sees fit. In order to get that paycheck, I am required to pass a random urine test with which I have no problem.
What I do have a problem with is the distribution of my taxes to people who don't have to pass a urine test.
Shouldn't one have to pass a urine test to get a welfare check because I have to pass one to earn it for them? Please understand, I have no problem with helping people get back on their feet. I do, on the other hand, have a problem with helping someone sitting on their lazy butts, doing drugs, while I work. . . .
Can you imagine how much money the state would save if people had to pass a urine test to get a public assistance check? Something has to change in this country -- and soon!!!!!
Guess we could title that program,
'Urine or you're Out'.

Far too straight forward and unable to be massaged by the purveyors of OUR largess, to ever be allowed to occur. But I love it just the same! As long as we're fantasizing, how about being able to pass a drug screen to vote, too! But then if we had to "pee the cup", ID would need to be seen. And you couldn't possibly stress out the n'er do wells, by asking for a picture ID?

Urine tests are obsolete. They clip your hair now as the drug residue remains in your hair a lot longer - and they can cut it right off your head so you cannot buy any more clean samples.

Someone told me that that's part of the reason for most males any longer to be sporting buzzed heads? Don't know if it's accurate though?

I never thought I'd say this, but I am beginning to see a value in the ACLU.

Just WHO do you think is on "welfare". Does welfare exist in any form other than AFDC in your state? Aide For Families and Dependant Children?

In Idaho the simply is no general welfare of the average person regardless of how poor unless they have minor children in the home.

Well over 70% of Food stamps go to Seniors, usually little old ladies that have lost their husbands and have very very low SSA because they never worked outside the home back when and don't have any SSA quarters to draw on.

Kids didn't choose to be born and they didn't choose crack head moms or Hos or IV drug users or.... So, shall we let them starve? Just what is it that some 4 year old has done that you think he/she should suffer because they have a stupid parent? Of course we could all sign up for a few kids. Actually I would but most of the studies show the children suffer because they can't figure out what THEY did wrong to be seperated from mom or dad, even if she is a crack Ho.

Of course I'll sign up for the deal as long as you test the agra business guys that get a government check or the bank guys that get a government check or the guys at Micron here that get repeated tax breaks at public exspense.

I once worked as a welfare fraud investigator for the State of Idaho. The legislature was real hot to make sure all those welfare moms weren't getting something they weren't entitled to. Had to make sure they didn't own some POS car worth over $2000 or etc.

In the first 3 months I and 4 other investigators had found about $50K that was technically fraud. Mostly unreported assests like a used car. On the other hand we managed to find over $7 MILLION in provider fraud from nursing home owners, pharmacies, the guys sending the diatetis stuff through the mail and a bill to the state etc.

My favorite was the businessman that owned 7 nursing homes and was just a wonderfull guy, loved by everybody and a true humanitarian. When I looked it seemed odd that everybody that died in any facility owned by him died on the 15th or the 30th of the month. The extra 2 weeks or two day of "Care' for dead people ammounted to a little over $5 million that wasn't out of statutes. Not only was I ordered to NOT prosecute and reach a settlement but I was forbidden to release anything to the press. After all we wouldn't want to besmearch his reputation. I wonder if he ever smoked a little dope or snorted a little coke maybe they would have at least canceled his Health and Welfare contract if we could have proven that. Yeah, probably not.

It's real easy to point at the poor and welfare recipient as the bogey man and the reason for all our problems. I don't think they tanked the economey. I think that was some real smart and well conected business guys that hired mathamaticians to come up with "derivitives". That worked out great. Do you honestly think that's where your tax dollars are being squandered?

I think the girl I went to high school with who had the first kid at 17,went on welfare so she got food stamps and money for rent, lights and free medical for life was a little better taken care of than I was. Hell all i did was volunteer to go to Viet Nam get 100 dollars a week, food (I think)and when I got shot the corpsman sent me to the hospital (I think)

By the first time I got back she had another and was living in the house her realtor daddy bought that she was paying rent on (read: welfare bought for her) with a druggie who was nice enough to help her eat the food and turn on the lights and give her a ride in his car for the free medical.

The last I knew about her she is still living in that house and still with that guy and still never had a job.

So yeah I would love to see the wiz quiz as a prerequisite to welfare paychecks.

I guess it depends on whos ox is getting gored.

I had a guy I went to college with that was mad as Hell about the fact that disabled Vietnam Vets got preference points in hiring, especially in LEO circles. Besides I had a disability check from the VA and I didn't need the job as much as he did nor did I deserve a job as much as he did. He couldn't get hired because he couldn't get passed all those "damned cripples" on the registers of the LEO agencies.

He believed it. It must be true.

Me, I failed the piss test and it cost me my job. Of course it was perscription drugs for chronic pain and issued and perscribed by the VA for combat wounds recieved in Vietnam and there was no indication that it reflected negatively in my job preformance.

"The perscriction use of a narcotic is no different than if you used crack cocaine" I was offered the choice of a medical retirement or admin leave so I could go get "clean". So much for that I served in Vietnam stuff doesn't buy much from some people, even in the Federal LEO System. I'm pretty sure I thought that was unfair and arbitray and capricious. My boss thought it was stupid. In fact every person in the agency I talked to thought it was stupid at best, except for the guy appointed by the President with no LEO credentials to run the outfit who was convinved I was a "druggie".

You're not really naive enough to believe that these crack heads use welfare money to buy food to feed their kids?
