US Army 238th Birthday

I thought someone would of posted this, no one did I wanted to mark the day.

This 238th birthday commemorates America's Army - Soldiers, families and civilians - who are achieving a level of excellence that is truly Army Strong. We also celebrate our local communities for their steadfast support of our Soldiers and families. We are "America's Army: Service to the Nation, Strength for the Future."

The Army has a had 200+ years of ups and downs.

The usual pattern is:

1. The regular Army is allowed to wither, both physically and intellectually.
2. Some catastrophe happens.
3. The Army is filled out with reserves/militia/National Guard, who just want to go home and are more than eager to kill enough people in new and inventive ways to do so.
4. The Army finishes the conflict as a commanding entity.
5. Start over with 1.
