USGI M1 Carbine acquisition - Quality Hardware

Perhaps the guy on the pistol team was a Marine.

You leave one alone with something in a locked room long enough and it will be broken, lost, or pregnant. Any combination is also a possibility.

LOL, you guys must be desperate for humor which I totally understand with todays " situation". Years ago knew a collector that was really involved with new pieces to his collection. Few of us joked him saying," bet you put your new( whatever weapon) on your bed, take off your clothes , climb in bed and rub your body over it Like a Dog does to a Dead Frog"..

I have an 03a3 obtained by the elderly gentleman I bought it from and came with the DCM paperwork for the price mentioned above by Jimmy. He recalled the mailman telling him there was a package waiting for him so he walked down to the Post Office and picked it up.
I have a Winchester Carbine from an 80s gun show and a nice Inland from an estate sale a few years ago which came with the CMP paperwork. I bought a second Inland from the same estate just to re-sell which it did for $1,500. Wouldn't try and touch any of them nowadays.
Much enjoyed reading this thread. Makes me want to slap myself for not being more active collecting in the "golden years".
That Faulkner guy is one smart cookie !!!!
