Value of a hard rubber? N frame S&W grip adapter

Any thoughts on the value of an original S&W black hard rubber? N frame grip adapter in excellent condition?

I have that habit, too! But as time marches on values tend to catch up.
I guess the main point is we are meeting our objectives to have certain things we want.

The order form and other documents for my Registered Magnum, REG 1299 says it shipped with a Wesson Grip Adapter. Is there a difference between that and a Smith & Wesson Grip Adapter?

Yes. The Wesson Grip Adapter was two metal plates that mounted under the service grip panels and had a rubber piece between the back of the trigger guard and the front strap. The grip adapter in this thread is basically a Mershon/Pachmayr style. Wesson grip adapters sell in the $400+ range.

Thanks guys. At 4 bills I'll probably keep it the way it is (std. service grips), if I could even find a set. The 357 has been re-finished so originality is already gone. Shooter grade.

I bought one of the reproduction grip adaptors at the 2007 S&W Annual Meeting. It made the grip too wide for my hand. I later sold it.
