I am looking at buying one of the 1854 Stealth Hunters.
16.3" threaded barrel in 45 Colt looks like a nice suppressor host.
Looks like the 1:16 twist would be nice for shooting 300 grain + bullets at only 1050 fps.
Do we know the chamber size? Some factory 45 Colts (the Winchesters and Rossis I have had, for instance) have pretty big chambers.
Right now I have a Chiappa 1892 on deck to cut and thread, but if I can get into a 1854 instead, I will be money ahead.
I had a Henry Big Boy X and found the gun too heavy (over 7lbs) and poorly balanced for a 45 colt/44 mag, especially with a suppressor.
S&W's site says it is 101 oz (6.3 lbs) is this accurate?
How is the weight and balance for the 1854 with the plastic furniture?
