Not sure if we have any ammo collectors on this forum, but I have 4 boxes of Winchester 38 Special Mid Range Sharp Cor. Match ammo that I was told was collectable by a knowledgable gun manager at LGS. They are lead wadcutters in nickel cases that I think are from the 60's. Any idea on value? photos attached.

Have you checked Gunbroker or AuctionArms to see if anything comparable has been sold on them and for who much ?

I think you may be a decade or two off with your date. That box was used from the late 40's to early 1950's. It would have some value to someone who had a K-38 Masterpiece from that era, like myself. Most of this vintage ammo runs about the same price as new stuff at gun shows. Greg

If the collector value is not to high you might shoot the ammo and sell the box. Another thing ammo collectors might want to consider is that the cardboard used in old ammo boxes is not exactly archival quality and will not last forever. I see the same thing in the boxes for old toy trains. Eventually the boxes just start to fall apart.
