Hey everybody. I looking for some advice on the value of a 65-3. It's in nice condition but the finish needs to be polished. It has no scars and the gun is tight with no noticable wear. It has S&W pearl grips. No box. I believe it's a 4" barrel. I don't have pics at the moment. I'm also interested in any feedback on this model from experience. Thanks!

A 65-3, non pinned and reccess, with a 4" barrel should go for around $350-$400, but I would deduct $50 to replace the grips. The 3" would be worth a little more. Why not just tell us what the guy is asking and we can tell you if it's a good deal or not?

Scooter, I bought a 65-3, 3" last year for $341. Clean gun. If your gun is valued at $525, that is a LOOOONG stretch, in my opinion. Bob

You ever get the feeling that it's always the things that YOU want that are commanding stupid money? I'm seeing the S&W revolvers being sold regularly in this area at strong asking prices. I bought this piece for $400. This revolver is for my pleasure so it is what it is. I am interested in some really nice S&W target grips for this gun. They seem to be pricey too! Play you pay. Thanks for the responses.

Scooter, try ebay, or Altamont. Altamont has nice looking grips reasonable. I have a grip thing. I am always looking for more at the right price. Bob

All this 65-3 talk made me unholster and step outside to take some glamour shots.

This (not just mine) is one sweet carry piece....love the balance.
