Yes, $350 brother to brother is very fair. He is getting a reasonable price so he isn't taking it in the shorts. You are getting a reasonable price so you aren't taking a bath. Very fair in my opinion. As others have said, basing a sale price on what a dealer will give is a bad idea as the value will be much lower than reality. I do not agree that when a dealer provides such a low price on a trade in that it is a rip off. I would never trade in or sell to a dealer as they need to offer you lower than market value so that they can sell at market value or higher. Rip off is kind of a harsh term for what a dealer can pay you. Now, if you find a dealer who is willing to pay you market value for your used firearm, you will then notice that he will sell his used firearms at new prices and his new firearms at prices higher than other dealers. Heck, his sale ad will have to read "Everything Now Slashed to Retail". Rip off is too harsh of a term.
