Value of my 24-3 4"

I'm with Mr. Wickahoney...about $850.00

I bought mine a year and half ago and paid $500.00 with all the goodies and in like condition. I love to shoot it as well as it's snubby brother...shot the snub yesterday.

Great shooters!!!

That is optimistic in my opinion; you might rent a lot of tables at gun shows before it sells @ $850, but since I own one, I hope you're right. I'd say more like $700 - $750 in my neck of the woods.

I have two 24-3's, a 6.5" and the 3" snubby. They are both put together fine.
Also I remember reading about the questionable workmanship on both S&W's and Colt 1911's back in the 80's. Guess I've been lucky.

However I did open them up and did some polishing and changed out a certain spring on both revolvers. Nice shooters, especially the 6.5".

Don't sell it, and don't shoot it. You know what you have and how many were made. For every one that is taken out of NIB condition and fired, yours clicks up a notch in value.
I am a collector for 35 years, and like Feral have many firearms and have let even more slip away. It took me 23 years or so to acquire that 'perfect' M24-3 4" to make the 6.5", 4" and 3" family complete. I wouldn't part with it for anything in that condition.
It is yours of course, and you may not be as avid a collector as some, and that offer of 3oz of gold is tempting, so do what you want or need to of course, but another like that may never come along.
Good luck on your decision.
