Value of Smith & Wesson Model 18

Cylinder2.jpg

Problem with this cylinder would be where the firing pin dented the edge of case head recess and probably would make loading and unloading difficult at best, probably would prevent the case head from seating flush.

Brings up two points, NEVER dry fire a K22 with empty chambers, If a K22 goes click instead of bang inspect it for timing issues right away, looks like this owner let it go for some time .

Only other one than mine that I have seen with RR. Mine is 3T, RR, WO, 18-2, only the slightest thinning blue on left muzzle keeping it from being 99%. Haven't brought myself to shoot it yet.

Another Red Ramp Gun from the same era, early 1950's. Same ramp as mine, I assume they installed at the factory.

It's beautiful, but it sure isn't a Model 18......Welcome to the Forum BTW. Thats quite an entrance. I would start a new thread and post several pic's of that one. You will get quite a warm welcome showing that one off......

You should post pic's of both of those in a new thread. They both look beautiful. With a new thread you will get a lot more views by very knowledgeable members who would very much enjoy looking at those two......
