This gun is for sale locally, 6 1/2", presentation box, shipping carton, all tools and papers. Seven bills?

This seems like a pretty good deal but I haven't studied much on the newer guns or unfired specimens, is this a good deal?

Thanks ya'll.

Absolutely buy it at that price. If it is as stated it is a 1000 dollar gun, and better depending on where/how sold.

It would go quickly on this forum at 1000 dollars.

If it happens to have an "S" serial number it is even better!

Grab this one quick! And see what else he has for sale!

Thanks for the advise, I will go check it out, anything in addition to the s prefix to look for or avoid?

If unfired I presume it is in pristine or near pristine condition, if so grab it at that price.

I saw a nickel version in like condition about 6 month ago. I tried to get it for $900 but they wouldn't budge. The girl who owned it agreed to 9 bills, but her father shot me down.:( I think it sold for $1200.

Thanks all for the wise words. I bought it and it is unfired with all the extras.

You can't just post that without a picture

Congratulations on the find. Probably one bought during the "Dirty Harry" craze of the 1970s and put away for you to find in 2012.

It will still be worth $700 after you shoot it
for that deal. Just treat it with respect. Normal
wear can add character too. I have the exact
same package. Even hunted with it, 1978 model.
Still looks like 98%. A blue version.

I don't have anything
to add, but Colt44sp
made me smile. Seems
he used hard returns to keep
text where the middle
class can read it. Thanks!

Heck OP, about two years ago I bought a 6-1/2" 29-2, excellent blue, light turn line, no box, papers or tools and paid $700, was darn glad to get it! Yours is definitely a steal at that price!

I am going to sell it. I can't shoot a gun like this. I got a 98% outdoorsman last year, paid more for it without box or papers, and love shooting it, but this is absolutely crisp!! Somebody else will need to break the seal. Here's some pics.

or not sell it.

It is pretty awesome. If I can adjust my mind to using it it may have to stay with me. I put it up on gunbroker then took it down.

Or trade it for something equally cool but already broken in.
