After trying a soft padded style pocket holster that typically came out with my Shield 2.0, whether I wanted it to or not, I decided to try something different for pocket carry. The Vedder Pocket Locker did the trick. The gun is very secure in the Kydex, but releases easily when drawing the gun. It was about twice the price of the holster it replaces, but worth every penny.

I’m looking for a good trigger secured pocket holster for a Sig 365 and this Vedder is one I’ve been considering.
Do you have/ or need the thumb shelf on yours? I see it’s benefit but does it push the holster out any? Dig into your body?
What I use must be kydex with a positive trigger guard since I have no safety.
Thanks for your thoughts

I have one for my Glock 43 and think it is best pocket holster I have ever owned. Was using a soft pocket holster but had problems with the gun getting sideways in my pocket. No so with the Vedder. Mine has the slight shelf but I never use it. Just tilt the gun back as you draw and gun comes right leaving the pocket holster in your pocket every time. Well worth the extra price. Been planing on getting one for my Walther M2. I have used several pocket holsters over the years but this one is the best by far. Note each pair of pants can be different so your experience could be different.

X2 - great holster. Besides firmly securing the weapon while still easy to withdraw, the design also prints less than a bulkier holster and keeps the handgun vertical without slippage to one side or the other.

I understand. I really like my Mika pocket holsters but that’s for revolvers and pistols with safeties. For those there is nothing better.

PJ holster makes a good kydex pocket holster for $35. I have one for a LC9spro. Because of the light trigger and no safety, a good kydex holster is the only way I feel safe carrying it. That Vedder looks good too.

My Fav. is the DeSantis Nemises and have been using one of those for 20+ years. Works perfectly with a Sig P365 or a S&W M60-7 (and alike).

I find it way more comfortable than the Kydex and less printing as well.

My concern with kydex pocket holsters is retention. I prefer low retention for pocket carry, which is why on the rare occasion I pocket carry my snub it's usually in a Nemesis. It also does a halfway decent job of disguising the outline of my snub, though it kind of looks like I've got a softball in my pocket when I sit down.

I also have a Blue Force Gear pocket holster, which is thinner and more comfortable, but I think it prints the outline of the gun a little more and is a tighter fit on the gun. I have to make sure I catch the hook on the pocket corner when drawing or the holster comes out with the gun. Not good, and why I rarely use it.

Still planning on getting a pocket .380 at some point, so I'll probably be re-evaluating options when (if?) I get one.

Some kydex pocket holsters are not smooth on the front side and do print. That is what I like about PJ holster, the front is smooth. It has little retention as a pocket holster should plus a push off tab or button along with a hooked bottom to catch the pocket on the way out. I like the Nemesis for my LCP. It gives me the option to switch pockets front to back or right to left as I please. Pants make a big difference with pocket carry also. I pocket carry about 99% of the time.
