This thread isn't about if you should or shouldn't leave a gun in a vehicle, or to what degree one should be secured if stored.

If your goal is to point out the flaws of a vehicle gun, this thread ain't for you.

I currently have a Charter Arms .357 in a lock box mounted under the seat. But I've been thinking of if I should upgrade to a rifle or shotgun......

So, what's your preference?

Also, a poll!

I've got a Glock 40 caliber sub-compact with Tru Glow sights and a magazine extender grip to give a couple of more shots. If you're going to carry one in the car all the time it should be one you don't care much about. When I open carry it's always a Smith revolver.

I go between a 3" 686 or a M&P .45 compact in the console.

Whatever pistol I happen to be wearing and this:

I keep my old Ruger P91DC 40 cal in the truck. Bought it new in 1992. It's big, heavy, built like a Sherman tank and over the years has been fed over 8k rounds of most every ammo made and never, ever had so much as a hiccup. I'm seriously considering buying a cheaper full size as a vehicle gun and keep the old Ruger in the safe.

I didn't see an option for "Slingshot"

Not sure what to pic, no sword or spear either.... :(

I've got a roll of duct tape if it matters. I see someone above has a tape measure shown, I guess that measures up.... :D

Bummer..... wish I could play.....

I picked up a Charter Arms Bulldog 44 special with a 3" barrel
two years ago at a gun show for $200.00.
It locks up tight and the timing it good. The finish is about 90%.
As soon as I saw it, I thought "truck gun."
It lives in the vault in my vehicle and comes out when I get in,
plus the one I carry is always on me.
