After selling my Browning Buckmark (too hard to break down for cleaning) and my Ruger Mark IV Hunter (didn't not fit my hand, even with Hogue grips, muzzle-heavy), I was left without a .22 pistol. A bad place to be.

After dry firing a number of contenders at Cabela's, I settled on the Victory. It fit me perfectly, had the right heft and comes with a lifetime warranty.

I broke down the pistol (one hex screw- easy!) cleaned and lubed it and headed to the range with a mix of CCI Mini Mags and Blazer ammo.

Right away, it was more accurate than either the Buckmark or Mark IV, and that's saying something, as those are fine guns. I shot 2" groups, in-hand at 15 yards. The trigger is a joy- crisp, and the fiber optic sights are bright and the rear is adjustable. It comes with a Weaver rail, so I'll be adding a reflex red dot soon.

No jams of any sort after 150 rounds.

The grip is a bit hard and slick for my taste, so I added Talon wrap around grips- a big improvement for $15.

As noted elsewhere the safety is too easy to activate (see my post about the easy fix for this) and the magazine disconnect is annoying (this takes 2 minutes to remove- see YouTube) but otherwise, this is the best .22 pistol I have ever shot.

Highly recommended.

Nice review and I agree. I've had my Victory for about 3 months and have run around 2k rounds through it. Runs fine no matter what ammo I've tried. Fantastic shooter. My Dad liked mine so much, I bought him one. Just picked up a Volquartsen carbon fiber barrel and Weaver red dot for it. Looking forward to hitting the range with it tomorrow.

Have to show a pic since I dig the way it looks:

No complaints from me with my Victory. Shoots everything. Very accurate for an old fart like me. I have had no problem with the safety or the mag. release.
