Can anyone estimate what a Victory Model (US Navy) with the original pilots holster and cartridge loops is worth?

V Serial number
38 special
95%
US Navy on top strap
All matching including grips
Boyt US Navy 1943 holster

Clearly a vet bring back (name and unit on holster)

Thanks in advance.

Without pictures its tough to judge the wear on the finish, and whether the grips are correct, and a former owner has made mdofification.

I see Navy marked Victory Models being offered in he $750 to $900 when condition is 95% or better and all parts are original. Prices fall off steeply with poor finish or modificatins.

One thing that could add a lot of value to the gun & holster, is to get the service record of the man named on the holster, from the Navy archives. If he participated in any battles or campains or won any high decorations, the combination would be much more valuable to WW2 collectors.
