I thought that this was an interesting set of tests made with different calibers shot into gelatin from different media, clothing, glass, etc. It is very informative.
Moondawg always used to say that there's not a nickel's worth of difference in today's premium ammo. It's not a total truism IMO, but he's right when it comes to the best loads in the best weights in the best calibers. The proof is in the video. Thanks for posting.

I wish they would have included the .38, and the .357 for people who use them for CCW.
It also shows that with good ammo the old .45 will penetrate as well as, or better than the 9mm and the .40, and punch a much bigger hole while doing it.

I was happy to see the .45 Auto did better than both the 9mm and 40 S&W when shot through auto glass. Both expansion and weight retention were very good... The .45 easily beat the 9mm in penetration through glass and came close to the .40. Not bad at all for a 100 year old round...
