How's it a loophole? If you buy a gun at a gun show from a dealer, they do a background check. If you buy from a private owner, it's no different than if you hooked up with them via an ad in the paper. There's no practical way the gun show operators can stop two private citizens from deciding to make an exchange in the parking lot.
