Looked out the kitchen window and saw this guy was resting under the lilacs this morning

Hard to get a decent rack picture without spooking him, but he is a 5x5 counting his eye guards.

They always seem to know when it's hunting season. They show up in city yards every year, knowing it's safer.

One time when hunting in Idaho my friend said "Don't shoot an old Bull Elk, you couldn't stick a fork in his gravy." So I took a cow, now that is good eating for sure.
