Has anyone had problems with the FDE coating on the VTAC? I bought a .40 VTAC back in April and brought it home and put it in the safe. I went to the safe yesterday to get the VTAC out for its first firing, when to my surprise I see rust (or something like it) is coming through the coating. The S&W web sight says the slide material is stainless, so it can't be rust. Right?

It's probably not rust. You may want to give it a good scrubbing just to see.
FYI: stainless means just that. Stain less. It will rust just like anything else without proper care.
