Walking around money.

It is not smart to carry a large sum of money. People will kill you for $20 Also know that people talk and tell other people how much cash you carry. Not a good idea tell others how many guns you have (same reason)
I don't like using atms on public parking lots. If you want some cash reserves keep it lock up at home. Rather than using a atm, get cash back when you go to the grocery store. (a lot safer)

Truck drivers would carry cash and know of rolls of hundred dollar bills being lost and found at truck stops . When first started driving was paid by Comcheck with account number . When out on the road would cash out a couple hundred for me and call mom with account number and deposit the remaining balance in bank. You can also get a $25-50 cash advance once a week when fueling. Hardly any cash these days get paid direct bank deposit and fuel card for the truck

My wife seldom has more than a few bucks on her and will use plastic for even the smallest purchases. I have a company card, a "family" Discover and a personal Visa I use for oddball "me stuff", but I prefer good old fashion cash. I like larger bills. It's easier to dole out to my grad school kid when he's in town.

Walking around money for both of us here is about $200 unless there is a gun show in town and then it is about $1000 for both of us just in case. LOL

it is an old depression saying all he has is two pennies or so poor doesn't have two pennies to rub to together . I haven't heard it since my grandpa and uncles ,

Ok thanks for the info. I was guessing for good luck or something.

I drive out here in So Cal tied to construction.

I usually have between a hundred and two hundred. But I use my credit card for most things. I get cash back on it.

When I attend gun shows I grab my cash wallet out of the safe and put it in the safe in my car. Never know when I may find something to buy from a private seller......... Cash TALKS..........

I carry cash usually around $150. I use a credit card for everything I can, including guns if there's no upcharge as the cashback % runs about $500-$700 a year for me. Why give that up, (AMMO MONEY :D).

Since shortly after getting out of law school I always carried a $100 bill and 2 quarters.......... for emergency cash and pay phones! :D

Today I've ditched the $100 bill for a stack of $50s cus not everyone takes $100 bills any more and $100 doesn't buy as much as it use to .........

I still have the 2 quarters..... haven't seen a pay phone in years....... but hate it when someone would have to give me $.93 in change because the $1 item is really $1.07 with Pa's sales tax!!!!! :D
